Fishing Watch To Keep You On Time

Even if you have never been fishing, you can bet that you know there are certain things you do not want to get wet. Those things include phones, GPS systems, any electronics, and more specifically your watch.

With the excitement of reeling in a fish, you probably won’t stop for a second before reaching in and pulling out your prize. That’s when it hits you. You’ve gotten your $500 watch wet and the hands aren’t moving. The best thing would be to have a waterproof fishing watch or perhaps leave your good watches at home. Some would even suggest putting your watch in more safe locations like the top of your waders, but it is all too easy for it to fall out and get lost for good.

You can pick up a water proof watch at Wal-Mart for less than $20 but let’s talk about something a bit more geared for a fisherman or fisherwoman. The Dakota Angler II was inspired by fishermen so it is a good item to be on the lookout for. If you find it a problem being around your wrist you can always clip it somewhere else out of the way. But not only is it a water proof watch, it also contains a hook sharpener, steel clippers, lights, compass, and thermometer. Heck, this isn’t just a watch it is an all in one Swiss Army survival tool. The light on this watch is incredible powerful and can help you make your way back to your vehicle when you’re out beyond the city lights.

Many times I’ve lost track of time and before I knew it, it was pitch black and all I had with me on hand was a small flash light. Having multiple alarms on the watch can also help you enjoy the day light but remind you of when to call it quit for the day.

The only drawback that I’ve come across on the Dakota Angler II fishing watch is the price. You can find it for about $79 on Amazon.com. Although I love all of its functions, the price of it is just a bit too high for my liking. After all, I have most of its features already built in to my tackle box.

My point is, if you need a watch or are worried about damaging your current one, this may be another one of those investments that could not only give you a better fishing experience but it could save your life. Well that’s all for now.
